New Vraja Dhāma - The Beating Heart of Sanātana Dharma

Born: 28 April 2009
Candhan was truly one of a kind. As Nandi's very first calf, the eldest of six children, he inherited some extraordinary qualities from both sides of his family. A unique combination of Hungarian Spotted cattle and Zebu bloodlines, Candhan stood out from the very beginning. Unlike the typical spotted pattern of his breed, he wore a beautiful solid coat the color of sandalwood, the very reason he received his name. Tall, powerful, and blessed with remarkable genetics, he carried a small hump that hinted at his Zebu heritage and gave him an especially majestic appearance. Those who spent time around him often noticed something unusual, a naturally pleasant fragrance, as if he had his own personal perfume. Strong enough for the hardest work, yet noble in character, Candhan spent many years working faithfully alongside Purnima. Even in retirement, he remains a striking reminder that sometimes nature creates something truly special.
