New Vraja Dhāma - The Beating Heart of Sanātana Dharma

Born: 31 December 2014
Mangala is the tallest ox in Krishna Valley, but his story is one of resilience as much as strength. As a calf, he was incredibly beautiful, with a soft coat that invited endless hugs and cuddles, and he patiently allowed everyone to treat him like a giant teddy bear. Life was not always easy for him, however. Growing up among larger oxen, he was often bullied and once suffered a serious injury that nearly cost him his life. Today, Mangala has grown into a powerful and energetic worker who loves having a job to do. Whether pulling in the fields or enthusiastically scratching his head on a fence, sometimes with enough force to move the entire structure, he approaches life with determination and enthusiasm. Beneath his impressive size remains the same lovable ox who has overcome every challenge placed before him.
