Visala, an Alpine Grey ox at Nava Vraja Dhāma

Visala the Gentle Giant

Born: 8 March 2007

Visala's story began with a remarkable journey. When he was only ten days old, he was rescued from slaughter in Italy and brought to Krishna Valley as part of a small group of cows and oxen. As a beautiful Alpine Grey, he introduced a new breed to the Valley and quickly won hearts with his calm and affectionate nature. Gentle, patient, and always willing to cooperate, Visala was a joy to work with and formed a wonderful partnership with Sundara. Now enjoying his well earned retirement, Visala continues to inspire everyone around him with his peaceful presence and kind spirit. He is a living reminder that every life saved has the power to touch countless others.
